KSD Charity Fundraising

Club Admin Sharon & Social Secretary Claire have set about to raise funds for those worse of than ourselves , it was decided with club chief instructor that we raise money for two charitys per year both running for six months, December to May , June to November.

All members will be asked for a chosen charity and the majority rule, we feel this is a fair way to choose a worthy cause .

We decided to run a raffle to be drawn on our end of year awards eve ,club supporter Jo got the ball rolling with a donation as first price in the shape of a huge cuddly toy andrex dog , Club chief instructor Daz donated a stack of 5 boxes containing chocolates, cookies,fudge & toffee , also a rose wine gift set , Hair By Tomasina donated a white cuddly bear gift set containing chocolates and a bottle of wine & Ed Hardy hair straightners , Club member Holly Heckford donated bubble bath gift set , Club supporter Dot Rigby donated a huge cuddly tiger .

KSD threw in 3months free karate as a prize & 1 months free karate plus free licence, free karate suit, free sparring set.

The charity organisers had just over a week to arrange this raffle , they raised £174.43 for the above charity from KSD members and friends , KSD Chief Instructor rounded this figure off to £200 ,what a great start to the fundraising and we thank everyone for being kind at this time of year ,we know times are hard .

KSD want to thank everyone for buying tickets in our first ever fund raiser ,the monies raised will sent to the above charity and fund raising will continue for this worthy cause.
